The Highlights of Year 2011

Henna Kautto was chosen as the Service Desk Professional of the year in Finland.

Year 2011 was a year of celebration to Ambientia. We celebrated our 15th year of business last May. Later in September, it was time for celebration once again. One of Ambientia’s top professionals was chosen as the Service Desk Professional of the Year, selected by HDI Nordic Ltd. Energy and finishing tasks efficiently were mentioned as few of the strengths of the winner, software developer Henna Kautto.

In the beginning of year 2011 Ambientia rose among world’s leading wiki-solution suppliers’. We achieved the highest partnership level with the world’s largest commercial wiki-supplier Atlassian, being the only one in the Nordic countries to achieve this. In addition we made several new co-operation agreements with companies that deliver Atlassian software expansions internationally. Partnerships reaffirm our professional status amongst equivalent producers. Product licenses and other product related services needed for the customers can be now purchased from one producer, and this is enabled by the partnerships.

In 2011 we started our business in Stockholm.

Consulting company Deloitte published Technology Fast 50 -list of growth. Ambientia was on the list for the fifth time in a row. Amongst couple hundred companies there were only six other company’s besides Ambientia that has been on the list for five years. In 2011 our growth reached 30 per cent and the turnover rose to almost six million euros, the profit remained clearly positive.

Accordingly to the growth, Ambientia actively recruited new professionals and increased its personnel with 12 new employees during the year 2011. Growth continues, and so does the number of personnel.

We are the only Platinum Expert in the Northern Europe.

For the first time in Finland, we organized a Liferay Road Show -event in September. The event was directed for users of Liferay -portal and other people interested in the solutions. Liferay Portal –solution, based on open source code, has come up among other leading portals in Gartner’s researches for the last two years.

Every year we implement customer satisfaction surveys and last spring based on the amount of replies, we gave a donation to the newborn intensive care unit of the Tavastia proper central hospital. Second survey was done in fall and the charity cause was Joensuu local society of the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare. In December, we continued our three year tradition and gave school supplies to children in the developing countries through Unicef’s Pehmeä paketti -campaign.

Ambientia has a Verso-profile that tells about company’s accountability. / Ambientia has been granted with Finland’s Strongest -certificate five times in a row.

Directing the funds budgeted for customers’ Christmas presents to charity, is a part of our concrete actions of increasing accountability. About company’s accountability and good deeds tells the Verso -profile, which was created for Ambientia in co-operation with Verso Globe fall 2011.
