Atlassian Summit is underway! I decided to write a selection of blogs as a series to give you a description of the summits atmosphere and of course Atlassian developments. So welcome to blog #1 – The Arrival.
This is my first summit and my first time visiting San Francisco, and what a way to arrive in celebration of the Golden Gate Bridges 75th Anniversary- SF – a city, Im sure that can claim four seasons in one day- from foggy cold mornings to blistering hot windy afternoons, a great challenge in knowing what to wear! Since we landed its been go, go, go, but we did manage to squeeze in a quick three hour hop on hop off tour of this beautiful city and its dynamic eccentric inhabitants- yeah baby- this is where the summer of love began!
So, tourist stuff aside- what are we here for? Well as Ambientia is a Platinum Expert Partner, its very important for us to touch base with our Atlassian partner, discuss business past and future, what the latest product developments are, hear about the Atlassian road map, learn whats happening in the plugin world, network, network, network, so we can help support our customers with technological innovation, and yes, there is a lot of it here!
I have to highlight that Atlassian have done a fantastic job in the arrangements of this Summit for a whopping 1100 attendees! Great industrial venue and layout, great line up of sponsors, speakers, Guru staff members, fun-talented people, endless supply of T-shirts, give aways and of course in true ozzie style, beer…
So what will the attendees expect in the coming days?
Day one was an Expert Partner day and I wont bore you with the bizz talk – besides, that is for internal use and club membership, but rest assured Ambientia is doing very well as a partner and we are very excited about the future!
Day two- Training day- this is a pre-day to get attendees into the Atlassian mind set, and have the opportunity to select an Atlassian product to develop their skills from beginner to advanced sessions
Day three- Summit kick off day! Key notes from Co CEO and Founder -Mike Cannon- Brookes, Atlassian Product development and Plugin presentations and workshops.
Day four- More and more presentations and workshops and closing party bash.
Watch this blog space when I will get nitty gritty on all the developments taking place at the Summit- I will be talking about the new Jira and Confluence version and features, interesting Plugins, the launch of Marketplace, to purchase your add-ons and touch on Enterprise and Atlassian Ecosystem.
Catch you in a couple of hours, my peeps!
